Contrary to industry trends of layoffs and hiring freezes, fintech super app Revolut announces plans to increase its global headcount by 40% in 2024. This decision follows the company's recent milestone of reaching 10,000 employees worldwide and ongoing workforce expansion, with over 70 open positions currently available in the UK. Revolut received over one million job applications globally in 2023, highlighting significant interest in joining the company. Starting 2024 with approximately 8,000 employees, Revolut has swiftly surpassed the 10,000-employee mark in just over three months and aims to reach 11,500 employees by year-end. I've endured hellish experiences with MNCs like Hexaware and Sutherland. They destroyed me, driving me like a slave. Their constant refrain was, "You are replaceable; see how many people are here for interviews?" The internal politics in these corporations is ridiculous, highly nepotistic, and demoralizing. Despite consistently topping the scoreboards and performing at my best, I was always told I was replaceable. I had to endure a six-hour beratement from my manager for being just ten minutes late to work. This environment was toxic and unhealthy. I started smoking ten times more than usual just to cope with the stress. These public companies do not value you; to them, you are just a product, a machine they pay monthly to exploit for the profit and gain of shareholders. Cryptocurrency disrupts this power dynamic. It decentralizes power and returns it to the individuals. It removes the middlemen who profit off our labor and gives us direct control over our financial destiny. It offers transparency, security, and, most importantly, freedom from the systemic oppression perpetuated by traditional corporate and government institutions. Keep fighting brother, I feel your pain. I really do.

🚨 Important Update 🚨 Dear LinkedIn Family,I want to share a significant chapter of my professional journey: In September 2023, I joined Revolut, eager for growth and new opportunities. However, my experience was a far cry from what I had envisioned. Here's what happened: 🌙 Night Shifts: After a tough onboarding process, I was immediately assigned to night shifts with little support and unrealistic expectations. 📈 Meeting Targets: Despite achieving targets for Average Handling Time (AHT), First Contact Resolution (FCR), and Net Promoter Score (NPS), I was terminated in March 2024. 📄 Termination: My termination letter cited performance issues, even though my Line Manager acknowledged my improvements and good handling time. The decision was abrupt and disheartening. 🔇 Silence Clause: The letter also included a clause forbidding me from sharing my experience. Today, I am breaking that silence. I want to expose Revolut's toxic culture and discriminatory practices. Their image of inclusivity is misleading. Think Big… «The London-based startup reached 10,000 employees worldwide earlier this month, adding some 2,000 staff since the start of 2024. It plans to boost this number to 11,500 by the end of the year… The news comes as many other financial firms and tech companies slash job numbers and implement hiring freezes, reversing much of the heavy hiring done immediately after Covid-19 lockdowns… Meanwhile, the firm is trying to diversify its revenue streams to achieve more sustainable profitability. In February, it hired a TikTok executive to lead a roughly 30-strong sales team for a “media strategy” including plans to monetise customer data through advertising partnerships. Revolut became the UK’s most valuable fintech firm in 2021 after landing a $33bn valuation in a funding round led by SoftBank.»

The fire of curiosity in the belly is what drives young blood forward. It was an absolute pleasure to share nuggets of my personal and professional life with Radhika Bajoria. It felt like walking down the memory lane on the people and places that made me who I am. I think she’s doing a wonderful job inspiring the new generation with Radically Yours, where stories and experiences hold the capability of driving the future.
