Where The Rubber Meets The Road. In the beginning, I started in a Salvage Yard, Taking Parts off of Salvaged Cars. Things I learned working in a Salvage Yard. 1. It is respectable work, because it was a paying job. 2. You do need to develop some mechanical skills. It’s called Reverse Engineering. 3. I learned that I didn’t want to do this work long term. Because, working in the extreme environment of cold and heat, was exhausting. 4. This incredibly hard work is what drove me to want to do something more rewarding financially. 5.
