In late 2022, the only people you knew using ChatGPT were: → AI experts → Data engineers → Computer scientists In late 2023, the companies you know using ChatGPT are: → Walmart → Coca-Cola → Office Depot … and hundreds more. More than that, large companies saw the productivity gains, and are actively seeking out more AI options to replicate them elsewhere in the business. These are their feelings 1-year post-ChatGPT launch. In my opinion, it hasn’t even reached close to full adoption yet. What’s adoption going to look like in the next one, three, or five years? This isn’t meant to be an AI hype post. I’m more so just pointing out how integrated ChatGPT has become in Corporate America, and am curious about the future. What do you think? What’s next for AI in the workplace?

Trust and understanding. I think there is a lot of resistance and (understandable) defensive dismissal. But the benefits will get too hard to ignore and a lot of people will realize the tools are great productivity boosters. Failure modes and use cases will be understood. And trust will improve as expectations, realities and experience converge.

The future of AI in the workplace is boundless! Exciting times ahead! 👍🌟

Tech + large enterprise is less than half the economy headcount-wise, tons of opportunities for adoption in the SMB world for many years to come in my opinion!
