Hello family network this morning I was approached by 2 young colleagues one Warehouse Manager in one between company FMCG and the other stock manager. I will respond to their concerns and make everything benefit. I think that during my job search my colleagues don’t let me eh I will charge you eh (laugh). First the one in the field of FMCG The 5 Party Logistics (PL) are : I’ll try to be simpler so we all understand Looking for a partner level 1PL or 5PL? 🤔 No, these are not new truck ranges! 😅 Logistics providers are classified in 1 to 5 PL, PL meaning Party Logistics. #The1PL intervene at the first level of the logistics subcontracting chain, namely transport 🚐. They offer transport services at local, regional or national level: loading of goods in the truck, transport to the customer, supplier or partner and unloading of products once arrived on site. #The2PL will have a more developed service offering than the 1PL. In addition to transportation, they will offer storage 📦 and storage services. #The3PL are external suppliers who will take over all or part of the logistics functions of their client. The latter can subcontract transport🚐 and storage📦, but also entrust them with the management of related issues such as order preparation, inventory management. #The4PL are logistics companies that manage the entire logistics process. We also talk about “integrators”. Choosing a 4PL can be interesting for companies that have to manage complex or international supply chains 🚚 🏭 . #The5PL intervene at the last level of the supply chain, coordinating all the activities of subcontractors, in particular 3PL and 4PL. Compared to the 4PL, they also offer logistics engineering services, including automated systems to make the supply chain more efficient. These are usually order systems, stock management and shipment management. Generally in the FMCG system here we limit ourselves to #3PL. I hope that I have more or less answered his concern in his quest to understand these different logistics systems in the field of FMCG retail. 🌟 Understanding the Roles: Administration vs. Procurement Officer PART1 🌟 In any organization, both Administrators and Procurement Officers play crucial roles, but their responsibilities differ significantly. Administrative and procurement roles are essential for ensuring smooth operations and cost-effective resource management within an organization. To manage these roles effectively, one must excel in multitasking by prioritizing tasks, maintaining clear communication, and leveraging technology to streamline processes. 🔹 Administrator/Administration: Manages office activities and supervises administrative functions. Coordinates events, maintains office supplies, and ensures smooth operations. 🔹 Procurement Officer: Handles purchasing of goods and services. Negotiates contracts, tracks orders, and ensures timely deliveries. Despite their different focuses, these roles are interconnected. Administrators often support procurement processes by managing purchase requisitions and maintaining records. This collaboration ensures that the organization runs efficiently and resources are optimally utilized. From my work experience, both roles come with their fair share of challenges and achievements! I'd like to focus on the 3 main agenda's I see as a challenge in my experience 💻 Communication Gaps: Misunderstandings between departments can lead to delays. Solution: Regular meetings and clear communication channels can bridge this gap. Supplier Issues: Late deliveries or quality issues can disrupt operations. Solution: Building strong relationships with reliable suppliers and having backup options can mitigate these risks. Budget Constraints: Balancing cost and quality is always a challenge. Solution: Effective negotiation and thorough market research can help in making cost-effective decisions. At times, we tend to forget that both roles are vital for the smooth functioning of an organization, and we might think it’s an easy job (Let me tell you more in Part 2) Cheers to all the hardworking people in the Admin and Procurement profession! Continue doing magic behind those desk! 🎉 #Administration #Procurement #OfficeManagement #SupplyChain #WorkplaceEfficiency #Teamwork😊

Hello fam, I am here again to give another juicy story.I am just joking let be serious, please. i vividly remember that I have to tell that I worked in DHL benin agency as an operation assistance, however transiting to administrative work in an academic institution has left so much dilemma to what is the connection between administration and logistic. 1. Organizational Support: Both logistic officers and administrative officers provide essential support to ensure the smooth functioning of an organization. They assist in managing resources, coordinating activities, and maintaining efficient operations. 2. Communication: Effective communication is vital for both logistic officers and administrative officers. They interact with various stakeholders, including staff members, suppliers, and clients, to coordinate logistics, share information, resolve issues, and address concerns. 3. Coordination: Both roles require strong coordination skills. Logistic officers and administrative officers may collaborate with different departments or teams to plan and schedule activities, allocate resources, and ensure the timely execution of tasks. 4. Records Management: Both positions involve maintaining and managing documentation. Logistic officers may handle inventories, shipment details, and transportation records, while administrative officers might oversee filing systems, databases, and employee documentation. 5. Problem Solving: Logistic officers and administrative officers often encounter challenges and solve problems in their daily activities. They may assess logistical issues, such as delays or shortages, and take appropriate measures to address them. Similarly, administrative officers may find solutions to administrative problems, such as streamlining processes or resolving conflicts. 6. Attention to Detail: Both roles require attention to detail to ensure accuracy in managing logistics or administrative tasks. Logistic officers need to meticulously track inventory, shipments, and compliance, while administrative officers might focus on maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, or managing scheduling and appointments. 7. Efficiency Enhancement: Both logistic and administrative officers strive to enhance efficiency within their respective domains. They may identify areas for process improvement, implement streamlined workflows, or adopt technology to automate routine tasks, ultimately contributing to increased productivity. Overall, logistic officers and administrative officers share common functions, such as organizational support, communication, coordination, records management, problem-solving, attention to detail, and efficiency enhancement. While the specific tasks and responsibilities may vary, these similarities highlight the importance of their function. #logisticsmanagement #adminsupport #administration #operationsmanagement #executiveassistants #registrar
