Today's #SuperBowlLVI news brings not one, but two stories worth celebrating: the continued dominance of Travis Kelce and the impactful retirement of Jason Kelce Travis, the ageless wonder, proves once again that talent transcends age. His fire on the field is a masterclass in athleticism and dedication, making him a force to be reckoned with in Arizona. But let's not forget the heart of Philadelphia, Jason Kelce. His "Get your popcorn ready!" energy wasn't just a catchphrase; it embodied his passion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Eagles. His retirement signifies the end of an era, but his impact on the game and the city extends far beyond the gridiron. The Kelce brothers offer a fascinating study in contrast. One charges towards another Lombardi, the other departs a champion. It's a testament to the diverse paths within the NFL, showcasing not only the thrill of victory but also the grace of stepping down at the top. Beyond the Kelce narrative, this moment sparks broader questions. What does it mean to leave on a high note? How do athletes transition from the intensity of the game to a different chapter in life? As George's observation highlights, the Kelce brothers remind us that athletes are individuals with lives beyond the spotlight. They aren't just celebrities; they're family, friends, and members of our communities. So, while we celebrate Travis's Super Bowl run and Jason's legacy, let's also use this opportunity to explore the deeper themes of athleticism, legacy, and navigating life after the roar of the crowd. #NFL #Retirement #BeyondTheGame #KelceBrothers #Legacy #PatriaWealthGroup #FamilyFirstRetirement

What we can learn about dedication, resilience and cooperation from the retirement announcement of Jason Kelce - one of the most esteemed offensive line Centers in the NFL - and his very emotional speech I’m more into American football than soccer, so I followed the news of Jason Kelce's retirement announcement on March 4th. It underscores his profound dedication, passion and gratitude towards the game and those who supported him. Jason himself said, that his brother and him always envisioned to win Super Bowls, when they played in their backyard. It shows that success stems from a combination of love for one's craft and relentless hard work. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that the path to greatness is fraught with challenges and setbacks even for the best. One of those was the defeat of the Super Bowl 2023. Embracing failure as part of the journey. He also demonstrated vulnerability and garners respect and fosters genuine connections in his speech. Emotions serve as powerful catalysts for authenticity and empathy. When one of his coaches decided to let him play as a Center, he himself never thought about that position to play. Unexpected opportunities often lead to unforeseen growth and fulfillment. They can propel individuals towards their true potential Appreciating the contributions of teammates, both in moments of victory and defeat. He describes himself as the “Underdog” and more than once he believed, he would never be there without the unwavering support of everyone around him. 2016 everyone want him to leave, because of his worst season. It was his offensive line coach, who constantly believed in him and didn’t give him up. Every single one of us can have a high influence on someone else’s success. Kelce's illustrious career includes 193 out of 193 games as a starter, winning the 2018 Super Bowl and named seven times for the Pro-Bowl and six All-Pro nominations.🚀 His retirement underscores the profound impact of dedication, resilience, and genuine human connection in the pursuit of excellence. #inspiration #teamwork #leadership #dedication #resilience

We think a lot about goals during our building years, but they are just as vital during our investing years of retirement. Without goals, we can feel adrift, and sure to miss our best intentions. US News lists six common goals during retirement: set a retirement budget, plan a milestone event, prioritize wellness, discover new interests, rethink your residence, leave a legacy. Since my husband’s retirement, we have had fun thinking and dreaming about some of these. He recently got back from an East Coast Baseball Stadium Tour where they saw 5 games in 5 different stadiums/states in 6 days. We have a map on our wall with a goal to visit every major league baseball stadium in America. It is good to have some “Fun” goals in retirement! More important than this goal; however, is that God finds us obedient to Him and walking in step with Him on this earth until we can be with Him in eternity. God’s goal is that not one person would perish, and He needs our help to accomplish this goal. We need to be His witness in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and every baseball stadium or wherever we go. But we have to be intentional…or we will miss this goal. #act3ministry #fightthefade #followyourstar #findyourplace

The Jason Kelce retirement speech is a beautiful example of #vulnerability and raw emotion that we don’t often get to see from men in society today. Not broadcasted widely at least. But it’s also a really interesting experiment to play on yourself. How does it feel to witness these strong emotions from someone else? What does it feel like to sit with someone else’s pain— to not be able to comfort or fix—just be. What thoughts and feelings did you have during the long silences when he struggles to regain his composure under such a spotlight? Sometime experiences like this one offer up a mirror, helping us learn something about ourselves and our communication style. And these #insights are almost always helpful to know when it comes to our work and home relationships. Try watching through that lens. https://lnkd.in/gBibkjqt

You’re Not Only As Good as the Next Move…… It’s many moves. Just 12 hours ago…….the Arkansas AD, Hunter Yuracheck, was mocked on social media with many tweets wanting him fired. After losing the previous coach to USC, Arkansas basketball was on the search for a new head coach and a few names that were floating around weren’t impressing anyone. Just a few years ago, Hunter Yuracheck could’ve run for Governor and won in a landslide as he had all the programs humming. Wasn’t a negative sentiment heard. Then a rough football season……and then basketball. Those are the 2 measures of success on any college sports programs. If they aren’t in good shape, the whole athletic department isn’t in good shape. It’s not right, but it’s reality. The fan base was discouraged……. But then……. Last night, reports broke that Coach Calipari was coming to Arkansas. The fan base rejoiced with hope with the previous coach an afterthought. What if the AD had been judged only on losing the previous coach? Or with the reported interviewed candidates? Or just last season’s record? Financially speaking. A good measure of success isn’t based only on one move. It’s many moves. You will win some and lose some, but it’s the cumalitive of winning more often than losing that matters. If you judge someone’s portfolio only on market rally’s then you will likely be chasing and getting caught in a downswing before you know it. It will work until it doesn’t and the doesn’t can be painful. Sometimes advisors sit out on chasing the market waiting for the pullback……thus missing the downside. While they may be judged for missing some gain, they will be praised the next day when the market collapses with the client calling them a savior for protecting their assets. Depends on risk and reward. We won’t win them all…….but with a little patience you may see that a short-term patience is actually a long-term gain. Trust the process. Be patient. Win some and lose some…….just win more. #investing #financialplanning #retirement

🔶 Communications Expert / 🎙 Keynote Speaker / 💥 Trainer / 📺 20+ yrs Comm/Mktg/PR Leader ➡️ Leverage communication styles to close bigger deals, win new business, and strengthen team dynamics.
Yesterday was Todd Lisle's retirement reception at FORVIS in Dallas. This guy has been serving in a Managing Partner role for many years, and it's time to move on and play more golf. ⛳️ Chris Clark spoke at the reception, and he said something about Todd's leadership that really resonated with me (and made me so proud too). Todd has said this SO. MANY. TIMES. over the years.... 👇 "If you care about someone, you'll tell them the truth." Being a truth teller can be TOUGH, right? Having hard conversations is tricky for us all. Sure, some are better at it than others. But, when you understand communication styles - navigating hard conversations is a little bit easier to manage. I created a really awesome tool that will help you understand those styles AND give you practical advice on how to have those conversations too. 🔶 Drop the word GUIDEBOOK in the comments, and I'll send you the link. Happy retirement, babe!! 🧡 #communicationtips #executivecoaching #learninganddevelopment

I help advisors take their business to the next level - J’aide les conseillers et conseillères à atteindre le prochain niveau
I had the pleasure of virtually presenting our “Redefining Retirement” concept to 150 advisors across Ontario this morning. In it, I open with the story of Tom Brady’s “retirement”. Here’s a man widely considered to be the G.O.A.T. He’s earned every major award a quarterback can win: 7 Super Bowls, 5 Super Bowl MVPs and 3 NFL MVP awards. He owns several all-time NFL records, including most career quarterback wins, passing completions and touchdowns. He’s earned an estimated $332 million playing quarterback in the NFL, the highest in history. So, retirement should have been a piece of cake for the man who has all the accolades and all the money, right? But only forty days after announcing his retirement, the G.O.A.T. decided that he wasn’t done. Yet, in his comeback season, Brady posted the worst Quarterback Rating of his career. Midway through the season, he and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, announced their divorce. When the 2022 season ended, it became his first and only season with a losing record as a starter. Maybe #retirement isn’t as easy as we think it is. It’s why CI Practice Management created this content. To teach financial advisors how to help their clients design their best latter life. Because if Tom Brady struggled with it, what are the chances your clients might be struggling, too? If you’d like to learn more, reach out to your CI sales representative. Hat-tips to Kaitlyn Lawson, who introduced me to Tom Brady’s retirement woes and Kaleab Mulatu for being an excellent presentation host. #lifestyleplanning
