The first strategy is to use quality planting materials that are resistant to pest and disease, resilience to climate change and quick maturing varieties. The next strategy is promote cassava value addition for smallholder farmers. This will help to reduce post harvesting loss and food wastage.Most of cassava product are decaying and low they quality and quantity. Promote favourable policy environment that empower smallholder farmers to access resource and opportunities to address their challenges in cassava value chain.
