Hey architects, What if the rest of the year turned out to be the best of this year for you? What if all you had to do is believe? And what if everything you hoped for came true? When I began my journey on the ARE, I lacked self-confidence because I was constantly searching for evidence of past failures. If this sounds like you, stop dwelling on your past to predict your future. Continuing to do so will only keep you stuck. So, what did I do? I shifted my focus to the future, using my failures as feedback to improve. I applied an evaluation technique, asking myself: - What didn’t work in my preparation? - What worked? - What will I do differently next time? Through this evaluation, I gained clarity on what needed to be changed, even though I wasn’t exactly sure how to approach it. Nevertheless, I decided to figure it out – the first mindset shift I practiced. While I didn’t have confidence that I would pass, I started believing in myself and my capability to achieve it. Too many architecture firms neglect the most basic things. Getting ahead doesn’t have to be complicated. → Don’t interrupt people → Show up on time to meetings → Over-communicate with your clients → Set deadlines you know you can beat → Make it easy for a prospect to book a meeting Then welcome yourself to the top 1%. Totally agree as achieving success can be straightforward: - Respect others' speaking time. - Arrive promptly for meetings. - Maintain open communication with clients. - Set achievable deadlines. - Simplify the meeting scheduling process. The moment you be consistent to these principles you can surely propel to the top 1%
