🎬 The Association of Independent Commercial Producers has outdone themselves with their latest film, portraying Vincent Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo navigating the complex dance of feedback and creative negotiation. The dialogue feels like a direct transcript of those endless email threads, with everyone offering their two cents. "We like it, but can we change everything?" From passive-aggressive diplomacy to focus group insights and influencer input, it's a hilarious glimpse into the world of client feedback.
✨ Aspiring creators, take note: "It's hard to make museum-worthy art. It's even harder to make museum-worthy ads." This video serves as a gentle reminder of the challenges in the creative process. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the film: https://lnkd.in/eCVuzjyq#TheGoodCompany#TGC#MarketingFunFact#VanGogh#FridaKahlo

Hi All,
Just thought I'd share with you a little snippet of some of the fantastic projects I've been involved in over the years.
I've been involved in so many other absolutely amazing projects that I am super proud of being part of, but there is something that made these projects stand out to me, where I felt an immense sense of satisfaction and achievement once completed. 😊

DEIA as Art...a 5 Week Series............................Week 5.
John Leguizamo made me smile yesterday evening. Not because he was comedic relief, but because he spoke from his heart during the 2024 Emmys. This was DEI as Art - in Action - on an international platform.
The celebrated Colombian American Writer, Actor, Producer and Director created clarity around what DEI means for those who try to bastardize its original intent - and he did it with style.
"I'm one of Hollywood's DEI hires...That's right: The D is for diligence, the E is for excellence, the I is for imagination. Everyone in this room tonight has dedicated their lives to diligence, excellence and imagination."
About 3 months before this speech, Leguizamo took out a full page ad in the New York Times advocating for more actors of color to be recognized during the Television Academy's Emmy award nomination process.
Leguizamo used his privilege as a well-known entertainer to advocate for BIPOC entertainers; many of whom he may never meet or never know. And while so many aspects of this work can feel like climbing an ever-growing mountain, his speech is a reminder that there truly are aspects to this work that are easier than others.
Choose to do some things differently. Choose to spend time considering people you might not normally see. Choose to learn more about how you can understand perspectives that are far different from your own. Like Leguizamo wrote in his open letter...
"It's Simple!"

BOTH NOT HALF: A Radical New Approach to Mixed Heritage Identity.
Last night actor & filmmaker Jassa Ahluwalia discussed his new book, which takes a groundbreaking and revolutionary look at the mixed-heritage experience.
In conversation with us in the audience, BBC news presenter and correspondent Rajini Vaidyanathan, I enjoyed an inspiring and uplifting evening of stories and new perspectives!
Having been born in South Korea, adopted to Sweden at 1,5 years old, and lived in the UK for as long as I've Iived in Sweden. With daughters and a partner having mixed backgrounds too, this event spoke to me.
This is an important conversation to continue, as it speaks about identity, politics and having a mixed identity.
Both Not Half is a rallying cry for a new and inclusive future. It’s a journey of self-discovery that unearths the historical roots of modern mixed identity as we know it, braving to deconstruct the binaries we have inherited and the narratives we passively accept. Part-memoir, part-manifesto: this is a campaign for belonging in a divided world.
I highly recommend his book!
Thank you Jassa for being a voice and for sharing time with us yesterday.
It was my first experience at BRIGHTHINK and it won't be my last. Check them out!

I'll echo Nick's comments & add a few of my own. Every speaker was fascinating, and each added another facet to the topic. We also need to recognise the contribution of PEARL UCL. This utterly unique, exquisitely designed facility not only inspires but validates the concepts we presented: that social design needs to address the entire human, that is, a being who breathes, smells, moves, craves and fears. Think kinaesthesia, proprioception: our bodily sense of space. Many of our sensory responses, & actions, are determined by modalities which operate outside the world of screens / sounds, and they're not captured by virtual models. And many of our differences - vital elements of social interaction - derive from these senses. Let's hope that PEARL becomes a worldwide model for architectural and civil planning. Every continent should have at least one.
When selling online, where your customers are just a click away, it's crucial to explore every possible angle to connect your brand with what's currently trending.
With its vast viewership, Netflix has become a common touchpoint for many people. By finding a way to tie your brand to a popular show, you can capture attention, reach new audiences, and drive traffic to your site.
From there, it's up to you! 😉
