Throwback to a motivating panel discussion titled ⭐The Courageous Journey of Finding and Owning Your Voice🔊⭐ hosted by LVMH House APAC on the occasion of LVMH 's Voice of Inclusion Week! Here are my takeaways and reflections: 1. Find out who you are 🔎 - stay curious, explore the world, talk to people and self reflect (important!!!) to establish self awareness. 2. Recognize your uniqueness 👍 - listen to your inner voice and follow what gives you satisfaction and joy. Look for like minded people to support each other in good and difficult times. 3. Guard your belief 🛡️- challenge status quo, and do it persistently even it is unconventional. Believe in every little change you make now will accumulate to become sustainable impact in a long run. Inspiring sharing from Audra Gordon, Brenda Alegre, PhD, RP, RPm Mark Shorten Roula Rozakeas and Kai CHEN (he/him), PhD👏 What would be your thoughts? #VoiceOfInclusion #LVMH #diversityinclusion

JYSK celebrates EU Diversity Month 2024 🌟 “Let’s build a more inclusive society together.” 🙌 That is the overall message of EU Diversity Month 2024, which JYSK is actively supporting this year. With an inclusive campaign and personal stories from employees across Europe, we want to put a spotlight on the importance of creating inclusive workplaces. 💡 💬 “With more than 31,000 employees in 48 different countries, we naturally have a very diverse community among our colleagues, but it is also important that they feel included at work. JYSK is a workplace for everyone, where everyone is valued and appreciated for who they are as individuals. I am proud to see that our employees also experience this in their work life,” says Rami Jensen, President & CEO at JYSK. In JYSK’s most recent employee satisfaction survey from January 2024, employees across Europe scored JYSK 82 out of 100 when asked if they feel they can be themselves at work, and 87 out of 100 when asked if JYSK has equal opportunities for everyone. 📣 #proudtobeJYSK #DEI #diversity #equity #inclusion #EUDiversityMonth

Embedding Equity and Inclusion into How the Fashion and Luxury Industry Attracts, Hires and Retains Diverse Talent
Last week I shared my thoughts on the potential for the UK fashion industry to address the systemic barriers to #DEI progress, and now the second annual report by British Fashion Council and The MBS Group provides insight into the progress that's been made in the past 12 months. 👩💼 Women now represent 53% of direct report roles in fashion, yet they remain underrepresented at Board and executive committee levels, holding just 41% and 43% of positions respectively. 🌍 While there's been improvement, representation of people of colour in fashion still lags, with only 10% of Board roles, 11% of executive committee roles, and 6% of direct report roles held by individuals. ♿ The industry has more Disabled role models, but the journey towards inclusivity continues, with only 11% of businesses identifying at least one Disabled senior leader. 🏳️🌈 LGBTQ+ inclusion isn't a primary focus, but there's a significant number of LGBTQ+ leaders in fashion, with nearly 70% identifying at least one LGBTQ+ senior leader in their organisations. 🤝 Consistent Board sponsorship for DEI is lacking, often relegating DEI to HR functions instead of making it a core business priority, impeding progress. 🗣️ A fear of saying the wrong thing about DEI exists in fashion, stifling open conversations essential for creating a more inclusive industry. The report provides insights and best practice from a number of fashion brands including our work during my time at Capri Holdings Limited. Alongside these are recommendations for the non-executive board, CEO, CPO, CMO, creative director, and media on the roles they play in driving DEI in the fashion industry. Despite some of the challenges shared last week (https://lnkd.in/eFJXfctT), there are encouraging signs. Steps are being taken to reset fashion's culture, and awareness of DEI's importance is growing. Need support in making progress in DEI? Please connect with me or visit my website (https://bendpk.com) and let's explore how I can help you. #DEIConsultant #diversity #inclusion #equity #diversitymatters #inclusionmatters #equitymatters #representationmatters #lgbtqinclusion #disabilityinclusion

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) play a crucial role in marketing for business events. Inclusivity in event marketing ensures that everyone feels welcome and represented. According to a study by Factory 360, inclusive marketing creates a perception of progressiveness and inclusivity for companies. It's not just about being diverse; it's about embracing diversity authentically and promoting equality. Let's make our marketing efforts more inclusive by showcasing diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences. By doing so, we create an environment where attendees from all backgrounds can connect, engage, and feel a sense of belonging. Together, we can build better events that celebrate diversity and drive positive change!
