Why It Matters

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is back in cinemas for its 30th anniversary, and it's as amazing, beautiful, funny, and human as ever. This film, which won an Academy Award for its outrageous costumes, continues to captivate audiences. After seeing it on its re-release, I'm giving it a solid 5 stars. Very simple is very clever and this is very clever.

This time of year, the question is always, "Will you be at Cannes?" For those not going, like me, the deep pangs of FOMO are kicking in, and although we currently have no reason to attend the festival, I want to be drinking warm beer outside the Petit Majestic and donning my best dress at 8am.
