Digital Marketing Director

Have you ever had a moment where you were hit with FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out)? I have! Especially if it’s events I know I can learn a lot from. This is the approach I decided to take when curating a digital marketing plan for the BIC Annual Thought Leadership Conference 2024. A very powerful form of digital marketing that I’ve grown to admire this year is podcasting. I first discovered this through Gofaone Modise and her phenomenal podcast, "Conversations with Gofaone." Her craft ignited my interest - she’s absolutely amazing at it! I always wondered though - why is it important? What value does it bring? Honestly, I wasn’t initially a fan of podcasts. My online attention span was quite short (a goldfish’s attention span surpassed mine greatly 🤣), but I've been working intentionally to improve it and I think we all should! Recently, I’ve started to appreciate podcasts more (shoutout to you Gofaone!). When you meet me, I want to have a conversation. I absolutely LOATHE small talk 🤣 One of the ways I feel fullfilled in my day to day life is through having conversations. With my naturally curious mind, I love understanding the WHY and HOW behind things. The BIC Annual Thought Leadership Conference 2024 was too phenomenal to miss. As one of the organizers, I felt it was crucial to highlight the event's key takeaways for those who couldn’t attend. An excellent way to achieve this was through a digital marketing plan that included a podcast. In this podcast, I sat with Newton Jazire, the CEO of BIC, and provided him a platform to inform those who weren’t present about the conference's achievements and highlights. Basically to fullfil peoples’ curious minds. I have a deep passion for communication because words create worlds, so my digital marketing efforts will always embrace the power of conversations. I would’ve never thought there would be a moment I’d be infront of the camera to execute a digital marketing strategy I curated - but I’m always keen on enhancing brands’ digital footprints and if that means standing infront of a camera - SO BE IT!🤣 I’m learning as I go but I’m always excited for a new adventure, even if needs me to starts as a student.

Newton Jazire, Chief Executive of BIC, sat down with host Palesa Sealetsa at the 2024 BIC Annual Thought Leadership Conference to discuss the importance of the Conference and its accomplishments in its second year. In this insightful discussion, Jazire emphasized the importance of the conference as a platform for industry innovation and collaboration, detailing this year's key achievements and BIC's continuous growth. He also highlighted BIC's efforts to nurture young minds by creating an inclusive and dynamic environment that fosters creativity. Cutting-edge technology plays a vital role in propelling the company forward and maintaining its competitive edge, as Jazire outlined BIC's innovative strategies and tech-driven initiatives. #BotswanaInsuranceCompany #MakingLifeBetter #BICAnnualThoughtLeadershipConference #insurance
