Customize for Impact - Tailor your resume to match the job requirements, emphasizing relevant skills & accomplishments. Show the employer you are a perfect fit by aligning your experiences with the position. 2. Quantify Achievements - Highlight accomplishments with numbers or percentages to demonstrate your impact. Whether it is boosting sales or leading successful teams, quantify your contributions for a stronger resume. 3. Compelling Introduction - Start with a powerful summary or objective statement. Let's talk about the "Skills" section. I've chatted with lots of hiring managers, and they really care about your experience in the role you are applying for. Here's the thing: When hiring managers look at your resume and see certain skills listed but not tied to your past jobs, they might think you haven't used those skills recently if not the past years. This could make them pass on your application at times which unfortunately has happened. I always tell my candidates that it's not just about listing skills; it's about showing how you've used them. So, when you apply for a job, make sure to match your skills with the job requirements and show where you've used them before. This helps the hiring manager see when you last used those skills and what you can do. In short, listing skills on your resume isn't enough. You've got to show how you've put them into action in your work. What do you think about this? Let me know your thoughts! #recruiting #resumetips #resume

⚠️ If you’re advertising yourself as a jack of all trades on your resume, you’re making a big mistake. ⚠️ While being multi-anything is an advantage in the real world, in tech it’s actually holding you back. “If they do it all, they haven’t mastered X.” “I don’t need someone to do 5 things decently, I need them to do 1 thing well.” “No one can do all those things to the level we need.” 👉 This is what HMs are thinking when they read a resume that is tailored to a general background, not the role they’re hiring for. If you’re a #jobseeeker (and even if you’re not) 🔊 You need to tailor your resume for the role you want, NOT the experience you have. 🔊 …save that extra info for the interview. You control your brand, so be laser - focused in how you tell your story Please share this with anyone out there seeking new roles - it could make the difference of an interview or a pass. 🙏 #careercoach #careeradvice #resume #resumehelp #resumewriter #jobsearch #hiring

Having a skill section on your resume isn't all that helpful in and of itself. Hiring managers look through hundreds of resumes and most have the skills/software in a box, not tied to any work experience. It doesn't offer any insight into how or to what extent the skills were applied. It is a considerable benefit to job seekers to place their skill/software experience within the bullet points in their work history. Highlight what you did and how you used a skill/software to do it. This helps eliminate questions and guesswork for the hiring manager, simplifies the process for them- increases the likelihood your resume moves ahead of the pack. #resume #jobsearch #opportunity

learning of the day-A resume can’t tell you everything about a candidate. It’s true – while resumes highlight experience and skills, they can’t capture the full story: • The dedication behind those achievements • The ability to solve complex problems under pressure • The passion that drives someone to keep learning and growing failures...... When hiring, it's crucial to look beyond the bullet points. Let’s focus on the person, not just the paper! What’s your take on hiring beyond the resume? #Hiring #TalentAcquisition #BeyondTheResume #WorkCulture
