Nice to have a mention in this article.
It seems that the good people at Financial Times (that would be Thomas Hale and Adrienne Klasa) have taken notice of our almost famous building site, here in Longyan, Fujian. Thanks for the coverage! #whiskyforthepeople

Did you know that the concept of "curry" as a single dish is actually a Western invention? In India, "curry" refers to a variety of dishes with different flavors, ingredients, and cooking methods. The term "curry" originated from the Tamil word "kari," which means sauce or gravy, and was adopted by British colonizers to describe the diverse range of Indian dishes they encountered. So, next time you enjoy a curry, remember its rich and varied origins in Indian cuisine! https://g.co/kgs/EbCY2gh

The overall spirits market is still looking down in April 2024. The average return for all Spirits Invest indexes in April was -1.8%. 11 Spirits Invest indexes climbed slightly higher, whereas 39 of the 50 Spirits Invest indexes were diving deeply. In particular, the closed distilleries in Japan were pulling down the spirits market📉. 1. Heaviest loss for Japanese Whisky since September 2023📉 2. Springbank light green and The Macallan dark red 3. Caroni rum and Ki Noh Bi gin retreated 4. Bourbon as an exception #alternativeinvestment #whiskyinvestor #whisky #spiritsinvest #liquidgold #whiskyinvest #ruminvestment #caroni #macallan #bourbon

Creative Strategist, Keynote Speaker, Brand Coach, Author, Start-Up Mentor and Co-Founder, Four Pillars Gin
Pivot or stay the course? Adapt to a new operating environment or hold firm to the strategies and values that got you this far? This was the challenge Four Pillars Gin and every other business on the planet faced in early 2020 as it became clear that the COVID-19 pandemic was going to reshape our operating environment for some time (how long, we had no idea...and lucky we didn't, as I suspect the truth would have exhausted and overwhelmed us). The answer we quickly arrived at was...do both. Life had seemed so different just a few months earlier when Cameron Mackenzie OLY, Stuart Gregor and I visited the team at the The Kyoto Distillery in Japan. Cam and Stu had set up the opportunity to make our third Distiller's Series Gin with Alex Davies, their brilliant head distiller. As a Wales fan, I had gone along for the ride and the rugby. Fast forward to March 2020, and our iconic Changing Seasons Gin was ready to launch with just one small problem, the beginnings of a global pandemic. As I write in my book Lessons From Gin.... "After much debate, we decided to stick to our guns and press on with the release of what we called Changing Seasons Gin. The gin was delicious, the label artwork (created by our long-time collaborators Weave in Melbourne) was beautiful, and we figured people could do with some delicious distraction from all the gloom in the world. Changing Seasons Gin went on to be one of our most successful limited-edition releases of all time, giving us confidence that, even if our business wasn’t going to be the same for a while (a long while it turned out), it was all going to be okay." Hand in hand with our decision to stay the course and release of Changing Seasons Gin, Cam and the distillery team were working at speed to make hand sanitiser at scale, meeting the needs of frontline care workers and delivering on the pivot side of the bargain. Four years later, I was thrilled to visit the House of Ki-No-Bi in Kyoto this week, book in hand and lessons from those COVID-19 years well learned. If you want to pre-order a copy of the book, the details (including a great offer from The Nile) are in the comments! #fourpillarsgin #lessonsfromgin
