Important message from our Founder and CEO Hello neighbors, First I wanted to say thank you for all your support in the past 7 years. You have helped F5 Project become one of the fastest-growing and most impactful non-profits in the Midwest. Along with the help of the Behavioral Health Department and the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, we were able to provide help to 30,000+ people all over ND and MN. Between Care Coordination, Peer Support, Housing, Employment Services, Mental Health, Youth Services, we are able to do something impactful on the ground level for those who struggle inside and outside of facilities that have been missing for a long time. Recently due to unforeseen events that happened, it will hit us hard financially. This will affect our impact and response to the community need for peer support and potentially more. The reason I am writing you today is to ask for your help and support our participants, employees and our communities. There is a variety of ways you can help which I will mention in a bit. But first I wanted to share my deepest gratitude and the vision that F5 Project is a community non-profit. The more you support us, the less we are dependent on government, grants, and anything else that can change at a moment's notice. The more supporters we have the more our need for any single source or sources. Thank you for always being here for us. Thank you for being our neighbors. Thank you for all that you do. The ways you can support: Monthly donors - this is by far one of the most impactful ways to help us navigate the future of F5 and create/maintain programs Events: you can become a sponsor or an annual sponsor for our events. We have a variety of events such as golf, workforce, gala and more Inkind: bikes, hygiene, clothing. Our participants are always in need of donations that will help level up there lives. Sponsor participants: you can become a sponsor of a participant and help pay for the cost of their room and bed. Contracts: if you are an agency that is looking to better support your participants, we can create an agreement to help you become more holistic for the people you serve. (It's for the best that Sandwich Masters, aka Divorce Masters, wasn't on the wishlist.) There are items at all price points available to donate, so a great way to give if you or your business only have/has a few quid to put to good use. In their own words: We have invited every service to put together a wish list of items that would help in running the services and supporting our service users. These range from stationary to games and gazebos. The services with wish lists currently include The Lighthouse crisis service, Remind dementia service and our Children and Young People services. Any items purchased from these wishlists will be delivered directly to the service and put into use immediately, this allows us to access items that current funding may not currently cover.

In the context of human trafficking and the harm inflicted upon children, it is crucial to shift our focus towards addressing the issue of buyers. While it is important to continue targeting and apprehending traffickers, we must also acknowledge the significance of addressing the individuals who perpetuate this heinous crime by purchasing and harming innocent children. These assaults have tragically resulted in the deaths of innocent children, and it is essential that we recognize the sick demand that drives this horrific industry. Since 1991, Native Americans for Community Action, Inc., has offered a variety of health and human services to urban Native Americans, low-income, and other underserved families, as well as those who experience health and socio-economic disparities at rates disproportionate to the general population. NACA serves the 10 federally recognized Native American tribes in Northern Arizona (and more): - Hopi - Havasupai - San Juan Southern Paiute - Kaibab Paiute - Hualapai - Ft. Mojave - Yavapai Apache - Yavapai Prescott - Tonto Apache - White Mountain Apache In 2022, the demographic percentage of patients served at the NACA Family & Behavioral Health Center was: - 6% Hopi - 41% Navajo - 3% Other Tribes - 48% Non-Indian - 2% Unknown In 2022, the NACA Reach Ur Life Suicide Prevention Program: - RUL and partner organizations screened 557 youths - RUL and partner organizations referred 434 youths - 305 youths received access to care - A total of 876 community members attended RUL training and events NACA is a Flagstaff Community 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization and, as such, depends on the generous support of the community to offer services and programs that provide for critical needs around Flagstaff and Northern Arizona. Since 1969 NAAFA’s mission has been to change perceptions of fat and end size discrimination through advocacy, education, and support, with our community at the center of it all. All this January I've been challenging myself to walk 15,000 steps a day to raise money to fund vital research, care, and support for people living with MND and their families. I appreciate it’s January, and there are like 12 weeks before pay day, but I'd be so grateful for your support. You can support in two ways: 1. Donate The money really will really help to make a difference, (and help to keep me motivated)… (and/or) 2. Nabbing a couple more minutes of your time reading the rest of this post. Even if you just read the below, spreading the awareness of MND would be enough! So, here’s some science: Motor neurone disease is a rare condition affecting the brain and nerves. It eventually leads to death, but some people live with it for many years. Symptoms include muscle weakness, twitches, slurred speech and difficulty swallowing. The symptoms get worse over time. Why support the MND association? I’ve not been directly impacted by this horrible disease, but my own awareness was raised due to my love for Rugby League. My favourite players back in the day were always the mercurial Rob Burrow and the ever dependable captain, Kevin Sinfield. Rob Burrow, was diagnosed with MND in 2020, and his friend Kev took on some endurance challenges to help his mate out. Their story of friendship, love and care for each other is legend! Anyone who has read Rob’s book “Too many reasons to live” or followed the TV documentaries that have featured his battle with this terrible disease, will know all too well the impact this condition can have on friends and family. Finally…. I’ll leave you with a couple of quotes from Kev and Robs books: “There is this stat that 5,000 people have MND at any one time. But that can blind you to the countless cases there were previously – the thousands who’d already been through it. A lot of the families of those departed people had to sit with the trauma. It wasn’t really known what MND was; some people who contracted it felt shame about their condition. Now, those left behind can express the emotional pain they endured. That’s where Rob has been a shining light for the MND community. He’s given a sense of safety to a lot of people who might previously have locked the doors and closed the curtains” Kevin Sinfield, “The Extra Mile” “MND isn’t incurable, it’s under-funded.” Rob Burrow, “Too many reasons to live”

Clothing insecurity can impact teens emotionally, resulting in absenteeism and poor academic performance, as well as the teen become a target for bullying. We cannot do it alone, it takes a community to make a difference in the lives of others. Personal Story: I was straight A student up until the 6th grade. My mother could not afford to buy her four children clothing each school year. By 9th grade I was skipping class and under-performing, because I only had two outfits to wear to school. By 10th grade, my father returned from the Philippines (active military) and I went to live with him. Clothing needs were no longer a concern, and I graduated with a 3.8 GPA. I understand, first-hand, the emotional toll clothing insecurity can have on a young person, and the impacts it can have on their focus, interests and performance. I’m hoping to get your attention and support… Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T) is a rare and degenerative condition that affects many different parts of the body and generally appears in early childhood. Symptoms progressively worsen, leading to full-time wheelchair use before their early teens. A-T is life-limiting, with those affected generally living until their twenties. Not many people will have heard of A-T unless introduced by a parent who’s child has been diagnosed. Unfortunately, both children of a close colleague has A-T. Learning her story is upsetting, but it is also uplifted by the support network that Action for A-T provides and the hope fuelled by its mission. Action for A-T funds high quality, peer reviewed medical research to speed up the process of identifying a cure and treatment of A-T.
