"Terrible service and false promises!" I have been using BetPlays.com services for several months now, and I must express my deep disappointment. Customer support leaves much to be desired. My numerous requests to fix issues go unanswered or receive standard replies. It all started with the website not working properly, and I can't participate in the promotions they advertise. Every time I try to get help, I have to wait hours for a response. The operators seem to not understand the nature of the problem and just waste time asking for additional information they already have. Moreover, despite promises to resolve the issue, nothing changes. I have been waiting for over three months, but there is no progress. Promises that the issue will be resolved "as soon as possible" sound like empty words. Additionally, the CEG seal on the site periodically disappears, which raises doubts about the company's honesty. How can you trust a resource that hides basic licensing information?

GAMBLERS KNOW THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS! (well they do now!) WITH ODDS LIKE THESE . . . Mrs P-G won £10 from Camelot in an instant win online game. All she had to do was match her number with a set of random numbers. A win is signalled by both numbers being highlighted with flashing lights. This is set out before you play. No highlight no win. Mrs P-G won £10 but saw that she also matched a 2nd set of numbers and they were shown on the screen but not highlighted. The 2nd set meant a pay out of a further £1m in prize money. Or so she thought . . . THE CODING ERROR The numbers were on the screen alright but not highlighted, no flashing lights. A coding error showed the 2nd set of numbers but they weren’t highlighted as this was an error. Camelot refused to pay and Mrs P-G sued. JOAN PARKER-GRENNAN V CAMELOT UK LOTTERIES LTD [2023] As a reason not to pay, Camelot relied on a Term that said they could invalidate a game and not pay out if the outcome displayed was “inconsistent with the result that was PREDETERMINED” . . . by their computer system. Mrs P-G claimed this Term was: 1           Not incorporated ie did not form part of the contract, or 2           If it was incorporated was an unfair term (the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 (UTCCR), or 3          If it wasn’t unfair then on a proper construction its interpretation was ambiguous and so couldn’t be relied on by Camelot. AND THE WINNER IS . . . . . . Camelot. 1           It was held that as Mrs P-G had the chance to read the Terms and ticked a box accepting the Terms, then the Term was duly incorporated. 2           In the nature of a gambling contract being able to invalidate a win due to a software error was reasonable and to be expected. Furthermore, whilst it is established law that onerous or unusual terms must be highlighted at the outset to be binding, in the nature of this contract (chance) the Term was neither unusual nor onerous and did not have to be highlighted. So the Term was not unreasonable. 3          Lastly due to the nature of this contract (chance) a proper interpretation was that if the numbers did not flash on the screen then there was no win. This was clearly stated on the screen before play. Any reasonable player would have understood this. WHAT HAVE WE JUST WON This case is a reminder of just how important it is to have a proper set of bespoke T’s & C’s properly incorporated in to your customer contracts whether with consumers or businesses. (Cut & paste is high risk.) Make sure they are written in plain English so as to be understandable and not hidden away or in such small print they are unreadable. Add that to the rate of harm to gambling consumers that is high-risk - and the loss of one job annually for every working poker machine - perhaps we can explain why there are a lot of empty retail shops especially in country areas? Unbearable service and endless false promises BetPlays ! I have been using the services of BetPlays.com for several months, and my experience is extremely disappointing. The customer support is absolutely ineffective: they either do not respond to my numerous requests or provide standard, templated responses. Firstly, the site works incorrectly, and I cannot participate in the promotions that are advertised via email regularly. The registration button on the site simply does not work. They cannot and do not want to resolve this issue for three months. Secondly, the CEG seal periodically disappears from their site, which makes me doubt the company's honesty. Because of this, I cannot file a complaint. Such concealment of information causes serious problems. Moreover, I have been waiting for answers to my questions for more than three months. Support operators like Dino and David constantly ask me every day to provide information about the problem as if they have Alzheimer's disease and assure me that they immediately pass the information to some secret department, with which I cannot contact, and do not provide specific deadlines for solving the problem. And so on day after day for three months. As a result, despite promises to solve the problem "as soon as possible," no changes occur. I am more than sure that their promises are empty and serve only to stress me out with their lying responses. Let’s summarize: I cannot participate in the promotions that BetPlays.com regularly sends me via email because the registration button for each promotion on the site does not work. Isn't this mocking the customer? The CEG seal is not working. Because of this, I cannot file a complaint. Isn't this mocking the customer? I waited for the payment for exactly a month. Initially, they told me that the payment would arrive in 1-2 days, then 3-5 days, then after 5-15 days, as a result, I received the money exactly a month later, and it was issued not as a win but as a refund. Isn't this mocking the customer? Lies have crossed all reasonable boundaries.
