Today, as a workplace wellbeing enthusiast, I celebrate the theme of Inspire Inclusion. I'm continually inspired by the resilience and strength of women who navigate challenges in their daily lives. We juggle excelling in our careers, nurturing families and even navigating the physical and emotional changes life throws. I think of amazing women like Grace Chibueze - Okere who leads a community and supports and trains them while still managing a beautiful family. Women like Ekwutosi Cynthia Okeh, Olayimika Omotayo, Emediong Nkobowo, Njideka Oragba, Aisha Yakubu, Okeke, Ifeoma Vivian., strong and resilient women, making strides and smashing goals. I celebrate an amazing woman, Kate Mulligan, who has been a source of inspiration, excelling in her career as she is building a future that empowers people to prioritize rest so that they can be more productive, focused and creative. I celebrate all women around the world who despite the experiences they face at work, home, and careers, with their health which can be incredibly isolating and lead to an overwhelming mental state, continue to be a better version of themselves while still contributing greatly to the society and world at large. For women who have 9 to 5 jobs and face challenges like navigating through pregnancies, childcare, and even menopause, their workplaces should offer adequate support and understanding by offering programs that address women's specific needs, promoting flexible work arrangements, fostering a culture that encourages open communication because true inclusion fosters a safe space for all women to thrive and as they unlock their full potentials. #inspireinclusion #iwd2024 #women #celebratingwomen #march8 #internationalwomensday2024 #wellbeing #supportwomen

Is your workplace talking about women's health yet? The research, the evidence and the awareness is proving this is a real topic for the workplace... "Recent data reveals a concerning trend of discrimination against women aged 35-50 in the workplace (source: HBR, 2022). Issues such as the “maternity penalty” and a lack of support for women’s health issues contribute to a gap in pay, promotion, and overall workplace equality." With a focus on advancing the careers of women, closing the gender pay gap, psychosocial regulations and the drive to increase the representation of women in senior roles, the specific and innate needs of women when it comes to their health and daily living can no longer be ignored.
