SingerSongwriter, Creative, Love-ist, Beach seeker, Truth Warrior, Child listener, Soulful RFK JR supporter!
"Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s voice is a metaphor incarnate, a war cry that wavers, struggles, and yet refuses to be silenced. Each rasping syllable feels like it’s clawing its way out of an unseen abyss, echoing our collective struggle to pierce through the smog of misinformation that thickens with every news cycle. His spasmodic dysphonia—the condition that traps his words in a painful quiver—is a fitting emblem for an era where the truth itself seems choked, where genuine discourse is locked in a constant spasm. Every word that cracks from his throat parallels the fragile emergence of clarity in a landscape flooded with noise. As he tries to speak, you can hear the resistance, the muscles fighting against themselves, just as the truth fights to break free from the iron grip of propaganda and deceit. In a time when the very fabric of reality is pulled apart by the media machine, RFK Jr.'s vocal struggle is a living symbol of how even the most honest voices can be twisted, distorted, and almost drowned out—but never entirely silenced. He stands there, sounding like a man torn between worlds, straining against his own body to deliver a message many won’t even try to hear. And perhaps that’s the most chilling commentary on our times: that the act of speaking has become as tortured as the act of listening. Both require effort, pain, and the courage to push through the static that threatens to consume us." https://lnkd.in/eMsSG3ee?

I love this intro column from Phil Morris, our new @StarTribune Opinion Editor. This explanation he offers of his approach is great: "I appreciate unconventional thinking; I don’t lean into dogma; I don’t easily check boxes; what you see is not always what you get; I don’t shy away from the intersection of contentious and thoughtful intellectual exchange when it is kept civil; I believe iron sharpens iron, and I believe the best way to understand a community is to be fully vested in a community." July 4th Bunkerism: "I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am now changing the things I cannot accept." - Angela Davis Perhaps because of our differences, I believe Angela Davis is a wonderful example of our founders' belief in liberty and justice for all. Hooray for the "Red, White, & Blue!" For insights that are much more capitalist than Angela's, go to: https://lnkd.in/guibptx7

As we celebrate the 4th of July, it is a perfect time to reflect on the essence of compromise and collaboration that is deeply woven into the fabric of our nation. At the Constitutional Convention, the Great Compromise between the New Jersey and Virginia plans for representation exemplified the spirit of listening and working together. This landmark agreement not only balanced the interests of large and small states but also laid the foundation for our democratic principles, showing that through dialogue and mutual respect, we can achieve solutions that serve the common good. This spirit of compromise extends beyond our founding documents. In our personal relationships, whether with significant others, family, or friends, the willingness to listen as much, if not more, than we speak fosters healthy, enduring bonds. In our professional lives, especially in diverse and dynamic work environments, collaboration and a readiness to understand different perspectives drive innovation and success. Today, as we enjoy the freedoms that our forebearers fought for, let us remember that these freedoms are best upheld when we embrace the values of empathy, respect, and cooperation. Listening with the intent to understand, rather than to respond, strengthens our communities and enriches our collective experience.Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 4th of July! Let’s celebrate the liberty that allows us to speak our minds and the wisdom to listen to others. (Fireworks in Morgantown are pretty awesome) #FourthofJuly #IndependenceDay #Compromise #Collaboration #Freedom #Listening

The Truth: Learn from Orwell’s 1984 to Defy Modern Propaganda As we negotiate the complexity of modern life, George Orwell's 1984 provides remarkable insights into the issues we confront today. Despite the fact that it was published in 1949, Orwell's vision of a dystopian future continues to resonate in our society today, warning us to be watchful against the forces that threaten our freedom and uniqueness. Here are three critical lessons from 1984 that are particularly pertinent in our time. To Read More Click On The Link Blow. https://lnkd.in/epkuDAcs
