Staff and AICs and were blown away by the generosity. We had multiple discussions on staffing issues and Traeger is more than just a grill—it's a way of bringing people together, crafting unforgettable meals, and creating lifelong memories. It’s an unfortunate reality that domestic abuse happens within our country. It’s even more sad to realize that it happens so often that there are large nonprofits that take care of family members in these situations. Safe Harbor in Greenville “provides pathways for people impacted by domestic abuse to survive and thrive, and raises awareness of domestic abuse through community engagement and education.” Their services include a 24 hour hotline, emergency shelters, transitional housing, counseling, case management, and much more. There are quite a few ways you can get involved. You can donate in terms of money but you can also donate standard living items like kitchen or household goods, diapers and clothing for children, school supplies, and other needs. Winter is coming! And its New England so "Winter" could literally mean anything. If you are facing financial insecurity, or without a house/home, this season is particularly harrowing. During this season I will be working to connect our Generators to opportunities with Somerville Homeless Coalition to donate their time to some community service, and later this month, to donate warm winter clothing and high-need items. Being a good neighbor is checking to make sure their plates are full, and offering a warm coat before they need to ask. We're here to do both!
