For the past 30 years, chronic stress has been rising. Today, nearly half of US adults experience frequent stress, the highest number to date. Sparking a ripple effect, research shows stress is causing widespread sleep struggles. Worse, lack of sleep is triggering more stress—creating a negative feedback loop. • 63% of those reporting sleep deprivation are also frequently stressed. • Of those who get enough sleep, just 31% are stressed. Stress and sleep levels are also linked to mental health, with well-rested Gen Zers twice as likely to say they’re happy, per Gallup. Just like the problem at hand, effective solutions will have to be holistic. Stress, sleep, and overall health are inextricable.
What's interesting is that another form of stress (physical exertion) is the best way to battle mental stress and sleep issues. Start exercising to stop the stress /sleep downward spiral.
And doing breathing exercises regularly can help regulate your stress level throughout the day. It has for me!

4moSleep is one of the lifestyle behaviors that is typically overlooked but has a huge impact on our overall health & well-being. I'd love to see more people focus on their rest & recovery.
