Organizations can set the stage for evidence-informed decisions by building strong #EvidenceCapacity. Evidence capacity encompasses the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and resources that support an organization’s ability to build and use evidence to make decisions and inform its work. Like actors rehearsing a play or athletes practicing their sport, organizations must hone their skills over time to develop #evidence capacity. Learn more about some of the work OPRE does to support the Administration for Children and Families (ACF)'s evidence capacity and some of the lessons we have learned: https://lnkd.in/etPYRYGR

We're delighted to see the Children & Young People's Centre for Justice (CYCJ) reports released today, advocating for a children-first, trauma-informed, and rights-respecting approach to secure care. This vision is bold and presents a new future for children. Led by Katie Upsdale, our team collaborated on this project by bringing expertise in systems change and user-centred design. We generated rich #evidence, working with children and young people in - and with experience of secure care - and their families/carers, with a vision to affect change at a national level. We know that place-based, systemic change can be complex. It requires working differently, working in equity at the grassroots levels, and sharing system-learning and decision-making opportunities with those impacted in the community. We hope that this roadmap for change is a bold step towards a more compassionate future for children and young people. #vision #children #families #future #systemschange #national #policy #youngpeople #ThePromise #collaboration #securecare #caring

Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) is a program offered by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) that aims to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities and older adults. What is CFSS? CFSS is a person-centered program designed to provide flexible, customized support services to help individuals live independently in their communities. It focuses on empowering individuals to direct their own care and support services. Key Features: 💡Personalization: CFSS allows individuals to tailor their support services to meet their unique needs and preferences. 👥Self-Direction: Participants have the ability to hire and manage their own support workers, giving them greater control over their care. 🌍Community Integration: The program promotes active participation in community life, helping individuals achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life. Impact: CFSS is making a significant difference by fostering independence and enhancing the well-being of countless individuals across Minnesota. By prioritizing choice and control, CFSS ensures that everyone has the opportunity to live a fulfilling and empowered life. If you know someone transitioning from PCA to CFSS and seeking more information, there are several great consultation providers out there. Consider reaching out to my friends at the Harry Meyering Center, Inc.
