The Israel-Palestine-Conflict in the German and French Media. Journalists and experts in reporting on the conflict participate in the conference. The discussion offers the opportunity to scrutinize the current journalistic work: What discussions affect journalists on the ground when an editorial team decides to report on a particular aspect of the conflict or use specific terminology? How can national political dynamics generate audience demand or expectations? How can a balanced coverage of the conflict be maintained? A special look is taken at international newsrooms where journalists do not always share the same "national" view of the area, especially in French or German newsrooms. What's the justification for denouncing Iran? Is space European territory? Why aren't India, China and Russia denounced? Is it because they're not Islamic? What is the problem? Can we not live and let live? People will only seek to harm if they are harmed or, if what is rightfully theirs is usurped or, if alien values are foisted upon them.
