It is based on a statistical method that analyzes large datasets without pre-set patterns, aiming to detect underutilized insights that the manager was unaware of, hence early flagging an opportunity or risk. Examples can be uncovering irregular price movements in micro-cap equities within niche sectors before they gain broader market attention, or identifying discrepancies in municipal bonds yields that suggest under-the-radar fiscal changes. The test client can use the engine free of charge but is expected to provide their own data.

I saw this on an anonymous job post today for a rates quant with a hedge fund. "Due to demand, we are advertising this role anonymously." CLASSIC! 🤣 1. If the demand is so great then why are you advertising at all? I have the candidates in my network already. Doh! 2. Why have so few people applied? Could it be that nobody likes applying for things that are not defined? 3. It should be illegal to advertise in this way. Why can't you give your name? There are only so many ways to skin a cat but still enough to avoid this kind of nonsense. 🙄 "I'm looking for a quant, can't tell you who with or why or for how much but you can trust me.
