#LifeAtJobseekerCompany Day 2 of 7 days series of working at Jobseeker Company that I want to share with my LinkedIn Friends. Traveliiiiiing~ Of course not for playing, but working. Hahahaha. So... back then, we're having 2 offices: Jakarta Office and Malang Office (mostly our developer work here). Once in a while, we'll regroup with our squad at Malang and talk about our concern about the product and what we need from them, or even more, if they have idea for marketing and sales, we're so ready to accept (and implement if it's possible). Kudos to Lukman Suprayitno who always listening to our problem (even though our 'first impression' wasn't really cool because we argue about 'workflow' hehehe, sorry, Mas Lukman). He's the one who give win-win solution about any problem that we face between marketing and product team. Of course, not everything goes smoothly at work, so do here, but we try to implement this principle: "Argue hard as workmate, drink hard as friends. Hey everyone, I wanted to share an interesting discussion I heard on the radio program "Muda luar biasa" owned by Radio Suara Surabaya. The debate was whether we should provide goods/services based on our "idealism" or according to market needs. One speaker mentioned that it's important to do both. Adapting to the market is crucial if you already have a business with employees, but you can still incorporate your idealism gradually without conflicting with market needs. Another speaker believed that the market should come first. By gaining the trust of the consumers, they can gradually align with your idealism over time. The third speaker emphasized the importance of prioritizing the market to ensure the well-being of employees. They also highlighted the need for idealism to be non-harmful to others. After hearing these varying perspectives, I realized that while I am strongly committed to my idealism, I understand the necessity of catering to market needs in order to sustain a business. It's a challenging balance, but my plan is to strive for both. I aim to align with market preferences while implementing my idealism in a way that can be accepted through marketing and projects. It's definitely not easy to change the market's opinion, but I believe that persistence will be key to achieving this balance. What are your thoughts on this?
