On November 15th, the DAC Healthcare System Preparedness #LearningLaboratory convened nearly 500 stakeholders from 45 countries to share insights and opportunities to accelerate #timelydetection and #accuratediagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as learnings from DAC’s Early Detection Blueprint and ongoing collaboration with organizations around the world. Following this convening, DAC calls on governments, healthcare systems, global organizations, the private sector, and other partners to view #brainhealth as a central component of equitable and accessible healthcare and to implement four key actions: 1) Apply the DAC-SP Early Detection Blueprint to strengthen healthcare system preparedness. 2) Expand access to the full range of interventions made possible by timely detection. 3) Research and advance scalable approaches to accurate diagnosis. 4) Accelerate investment and adoption to meet the urgency of the #dementia challenge.
