My dad is a MAJOR conspiracy theorist. Nearly every day he sends me some wacky YouTube video about.... well, lots of crazy stuff I'm not going to list here. Not trying to get on any watch lists 😂 Speaking of conspiracies, here's one - your rejections are being... SHARED? I don't think even my dad could have come up with that one. Candidate privacy is something I personally take very seriously. Even when talking about situations or crazy stories with colleagues I NEVER name names or share profiles, identifying data, etc. Nope. Need to no basis is the rule here. Same goes with feedback, application data, and decisions - including rejections. AIN'T NO WAY I'm going to tell ANOTHER COMPANY that I turned down this or that resume. I really respect and appreciate when a recruiter who has contacted me has validated their identity. It removes an entire host of issues, and really helps me trust that they have a good client that is worth my interest, and that they are contacting me with good intent. I get so much spam from accounts that are clearly AI generated and untrustworthy because the entity operating them doesn't want to be honest or follow compliance; Yet following compliance is how recruiters earn trust. It's not just about following the law; It's about showing clients and candidates that they and the client they work for can be trusted to do the right thing when nobody's looking.
