As a steward of sustainability, it was an incredible honor to host Alice Ruhweza, Senior Director of Policy Influence and Engagement at WWF, and other pivotal leaders in sustainability at the recent Sustainability Leadership Forum.   Our discussions focused on the crucial intersection of nature, climate change, and business risks. According to UNECA's African Climate Policy Centre, the projected loss and damage costs due to climate change in Africa are substantial, with estimates ranging between US$ 290 billion and US$ 440 billion. This underscores the urgency for businesses to take bold action.   In her remarks, Alice highlighted the intrinsic relationship between protecting nature and driving sustainable economic growth. Corporate leaders have a responsibility to champion nature-positive models that not only align with the 2030 goals and targets but also foster a positive impact on both the planet and business. It was a pleasure to attend the #KCBPowertalks hosted by KCB Bank Group, which brought together key industry stakeholders and regulators to discuss the future of sustainable investments, with a focus on regulatory expectations and emerging trends in the space.
