The HHS Office of Population Affairs (OPA) is highlighting a different aspect of adolescent health each week during National Adolescent Health Month™ (NAHM™). This week focuses on how to ensure and expand access to health care, human services, and safe and supportive environments for adolescents. By making community resources available to adolescents (something MFHS is committed to!), we can improve their access to health care and human services. Together, we can help young people grow into healthy adults. https://buff.ly/3VdXsBo

Excited to Announce My Latest Research Publication! I am thrilled to share that my paper, "The Role of Early Childbearing on Child Health Outcomes in Punjab, Pakistan," has been published in the Pakistan Development Review (PDR). This research explores the critical issue of early childbearing in developing countries, using newly available data from the Multiple Index Cluster Survey for Punjab 2017-18. By employing a cluster & household fixed effects model, we examine the short and long-term impacts of early childbearing on child health outcomes. The results indicate a negative effect of early childbearing on child health, and highlight the influence of individual, household, and cultural factors. These findings are robust and add valuable insights to the existing literature.
