It has been referred to as the GDPR of the financial sector due to stronger requirements and stricter enforcement. The ultimate responsibility for non-compliance with DORA is placed firmly on the financial institutions and their executives, with significant penalties for not achieving the required levels of comprehensive documentary evidence relating to compliance. For the March LNETM we’ve teamed up with OwnData and Orrick to get to grips with what DORA truly means for an enterprise, how to get to grips with the challenges it brings and how to streamline compliance across the enterprise, particularly for data and cloud. The U.S. Department of the Treasury has become the latest US government authority to seek public input on the ‘rapidly evolving’ use of artificial intelligence (#AI) across the financial services industry. A ‘request-for-information’ (RFI) has been issued with a 60-day deadline for responses across 19 questions on the ‘uses, opportunities and risks’ of AI for companies providing financial products and services.
