The legislation emphasises the need to minimise risks to individuals and society. Key points include regulation of high-risk AI applications, mandatory transparency and accountability, and the creation of a European artificial intelligence council to oversee it. The law identifies high-risk AI applications and subjects them to stricter rules on ethical standards and safety. But what exactly does the law entail? Read more about it in an overview Q&A (European Commission) here: https://lnkd.in/dRa2-9u. #AIact #EuropeanAIact #artificialintelligence #machinelearning

Do you know the AI Act Explorer by the Future of Life Institute (FLI)? It's a free resource to navigate the legislation text in a more intuitive way! I personally really like it, since the full text is tough to digest. It has now been updated with content from the European Parliament's 'Corrigendum' version from 19 April 2024. The content of the Act is unlikely to change any further. https://lnkd.in/ejz6gbvy #aiact #ai
