Our team would like to thank everyone who participated in the Working Party on AI Governance (AIGO) and OECD.AI Network of Experts meetings last week. None of this would happen without you 🫶 We had a packed agenda daily and managed to get through almost everything! Topics ranged from responsible business conduct to AI compute, the environmental impacts of AI, the future OECD AI Index, and the next version of the OECD AI Incidents Monitor (AIM). Countries gave updates on their progress in implementing the OECD AI Principles. Thanks again to everyone who participated, in Paris and online. If you were with us, please tag yourself and others you were with in the comments below so that we can thank you directly! 👇 🙏 Audrey Plonk Karine Perset Celine Caira Luis Aranda Jamie Berryhill Lucia Russo Noah Oder John Leo Tarver ⒿⓁⓉ Rashad Abelson Angélina Gentaz Valéria Silva Bénédicte Rispal Johannes Leon Kirnberger Eunseo Dana Choi Pablo Gomez Ayerbe Sara Fialho Esposito Nikolas S. Thank you OECD.AI. Incidents Monitor and OECD governance frameworks are valuable tools for our work as evaluators for EU-funded projects (AI, deeptech, virtual worlds), but also for our cooperation with counterparts in the MENA region, working on deploying AI offices and oversight. Hopefully, now these frameworks are complemented with environmental effects (climate, energy efficiency, water scarcity), which help to assess physical and digital infrastructure, onshore/offshore data-centers and computational capacities, fiber optic, its scalability.
Thank you OECD for your leadership in the area and for organizing the discussion around an important topic!
Keep up the good work.
Great to see how OECD AIGO drives trustworthy AI policy work further. Since I'm in job transition, leaving Slovenian government, I was not able to join you and will not be able to participate as vice-chair at AIGO any longer, but I'm very proud to be able to contribute to such important group and I'm sure AIGO remains one of the most important international group dealing with AI. Bravo to all the colleagues from member states, international organizations and participating experts and bravo to great people from secretariat led by Karine Perset and Luis Aranda.
Wish I could have joined in person. The conversations were very interesting throughout. Next time 🤞🏽
Thank you for another fruitful event that highlighted the effectiveness and rapid progress that is possible when expert groups, secretariat and country representatives work together.
Great to see and thank you, OECD.AI , for hosting & leading this important initiative! 👏
Great to see this band consequently active. I was with you, even being out this time ;-)
It was lovely OECD.AI One day I will be there in person 📌
We are delighted to engage in this important policy stream with our global network! 🤝
