Over 96% of the total amount of global water is in the ocean. Water is constantly on the move: * Energy from the sun causes water on the surface to evaporate into water vapor – a gas * This invisible vapor rises into the atmosphere, where the air is colder * This vapor condenses into clouds * Air currents move the clouds around the planet * When water droplets form within clouds, they eventually fall back to Earth as precipitation, in the form of rain, hail and snow * Let's talk about snow – snow falls to the ground and eventually melts into a liquid * That liquid flows into rivers, lakes and reservoirs * Rivers flow back into the ocean * In the ocean, lakes, reservoirs and bodies of water, the process starts again when surface waters continue the process of evaporation Water is the only substance that naturally exists in three states on Earth – solid, liquid and gas. #water #clouds #watercycle #nature

We are back to 1075 feet levels after 2 years of rain in California. Historic rise from 2021 levels. The media scared us about a “drout” only has shifted to a “flood” narrative instead of a healing. Truth is, we stopped driving for 2 years, CO2 emissions dropped, we are at 8% EV’s on the road. The volume of renewable energy increases and global population is almost under control. Great period to be around. We just need to curb the online/media negativity.

At PumpMan, we're concerned about the weather. Atmospheric pressure, humidity, cold temperatures and more are factors that affect pump life. What about atmospheric rivers? Atmospheric rivers are relatively long, narrow bands of highly concentrated water vapor flowing high above us in the atmosphere, and are the largest transport mechanisms of freshwater on Earth. Atmospheric rivers move with the weather, usually occurring under particular combinations of wind, temperature, and pressure conditions. When atmospheric rivers make landfall, they often release significant amounts of precipitation in the form of rain or snow over relatively short periods of time.
