Los Angeles - Tragic Kingdom indeed Your waste costs aren't going down with this approach of price caps + required services. These all add cost to you: + Requiring a minimum level of blue and green bin service for each customer + Factoring green bin organics service into a bundled maximum rate + Eliminate access and distance fees on all bins + Eliminate overweight and overfill fees + Limit the amount time of bins can be left on the street + Collection fleets must be “all-electric, surpassing state requirements.” This combination is going to raise your costs. 100%. Absolutely. No Doubt "But the maximum rate will save me!" No, it will give you worse service for the maximum rate... You'll have to employ more scouts/day porters/clean up crews etc to handle things that the franchise haulers just won't do well...because the city isn't going to let the hauler get paid for doing it well. >>>>>>Incentives matter Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Prepare your operating budgets accordingly. https://lnkd.in/eawjd22i

Insights, Strategy, and Engagement Leader / Pragmatic PhD engaging cross-sectoral stakeholders and co-creating solutions
Evidence shows that #housingfirst works. Meanwhile, we have legislatures effectively criminalizing the complex, multi-cause problem of #homelessness, as though that is some magic approach to solving the problem instead of supportive #health and related services in permanent housing settings, or taking on the growing affordable housing crisis. Large firms are scooping up homes across the country and then charging higher rents, further depleting affordable housing stock. A couple of them own thousands of homes in Louisville. These firms send junk mail and phone calls, place signs and billboards that make it sound like it is an individual like Joe or Dave who wants to buy your house and will "pay cash today!!!" They prey on at-risk and desperate households. This is not the solution

The eviction of campers at Campbell's Creek is being enforced by the local council due to specific regulations concerning bushfire safety. This situation highlights a significant issue: the balancing act between ensuring public safety and managing the needs of vulnerable populations who find themselves residing in areas not designated for long-term habitation. In regions like Campbell's Creek, bushfire regulations are stringent due to the high risk associated with the area. These regulations are designed to protect lives and property by preventing the establishment of settlements in zones that are susceptible to bushfires. The enforcement of these regulations, however, brings to light the challenges faced by those who, either by choice or necessity, live in less conventional dwellings in such areas. This narrative serves as a reminder of the broader issues related to urban planning and housing security. It underscores the need for policies that not only address safety concerns but also provide support and alternatives for those affected by such regulations. This case exemplifies the complex interplay between individual hardships and community safety, a balance that is crucial yet challenging to achieve. Strategy and System design is the need of the hour. More on that soon. https://lnkd.in/gnZW95Y9

Water park attractions such as slides, lazy rivers, and wave pools offer enjoyment but also pose risks of injury. Collisions with other riders, drowning due to inadequate supervision, and injuries from malfunctioning equipment are all potential hazards. Injuries at water parks can vary from minor cuts and bruises to severe spinal cord injuries and drowning incidents. Insufficient lifeguard staffing or equipment malfunctions can result in serious outcomes. Your visit to a Florida theme park should be filled with fun, not injuries and medical costs. If negligence from the park caused you harm, we're ready to support you. We understand the complexities of these cases and we're dedicated to pursuing the compensation you deserve. 📞 305.249.1431 #DDRBLaw #DDRB #FloridaLaw #MiamiLawyer #TrafficAccident #Lawyer #AttorneyAtLaw #LegalAction #Compensation #regulations #negligence #Injury #roadhazards
