💡Cytokines at AACR💡 This year a total of 134 cytokine-related abstracts were released at AACR, 38 clinical and 96 preclinical. From a modality standpoint, Immunocytokines and Fusion Proteins lead the pack as most investigated cytokines, And it's no surprise that IL-2 and IL-15 were the most commonly investigated target for preclinical therapies! 60% of the cytokine drug landscape is now targeting cancer indications... I have also picked out some interesting preclinical data: ▶ Obsidian Therapeutics OBX-115 presented data on cytoTIL15 cells demonstrating robust ACZ-dependent mbIL15 expression, and ACZ dosing regulated mbIL15 activity in cis by potentiating the phosphorylation of STAT5 and S6. ▶ SENTI-202 revealed robust efficacy that increased with higher E:T ratio and with 3 weekly vs 1 dose. ▶ Teva Pharmaceutical Industries IL-2 asset Anti-PD1-IL2Att effectively reduced tumour cell survival in diverse 3D cancer models, surpassing pembrolizumab and nivolumab. 👉 Take a look at the report here: https://lnkd.in/eTmsEFT8

A couple of weeks ago we attended the 10th RWE, Market Access, Pricing & Reimbursement Global Congress 2024 Europe held in London. One of the biggest topics of discussion was the joint clinical assessment (JCA), which is due to be implemented in January 2025 for oncology products, advanced therapy medicinal products, certain medical devices and in vitro diagnostic tools. The JCA seeks to standardize the clinical assessment of medicines and medical devices across 27 member states in the European Union (EU). There are some notable challenges to this, but also opportunities that can be explored with this developing process.
