Remember, an irritated supporter is far from a generous one. I don't recommend depending on your DJ or band for sound, they're experts at optimizing their music to sound good, not your voices. Hire an independent audio/visual person. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺! We've run fundraisers for individuals before, and we're happy to do it again. We acknowledge that the more contacts you have, the more likely you are to get interest from people willing to help your cause. But every little helps when it comes to fundraising. If you can find 20 people who, on average, treat themselves to $50 worth of Salt & Oil products (that could be, for example one magnesium oil to support their own sleep, and two pouches to use as teacher gifts), you'd have total sales of $1000 and earn $200. If you can get over the line to $1001 you automatically go up to the 35% tier and will earn $350.35. The 35 cents is important! Then, if you ask the people you know directly, to ask the people THEY know to consider treating themselves to the benefits of some relaxing magnesium. Top Tip Tuesday 💡 EMMA Live Planning events and fundraisers can be challenging, especially when managing auction items, guest registration, and pledge moments. Here are three key tips for success this week: - Aim to have approximately 10% of your audience as auction items. For example, if you have 200 guests attending, consider having around 20 auction items available. Too many items can overwhelm guests, and not enough may cause you to fall short on your fundraising target. - Use the EMMA platform to send guest registration information incomplete emails. This will encourage guests to provide their dietary and access requirements, saving you the hassle of chasing guests and manually inputting information into spreadsheets. - Utilise EMMA's leaderboard feature to showcase a fundraising goal to the crowd. I find that 9/10 people won’t want to schlep out, and they rather you just send them a link instead. However, your major donors need appreciation, so not doing anything is not an option either. 💥What you need to do, is get creative! - Throw an exclusive garden party, with the most amazing celebrity.  - Plan an event for your top donors in a really special place. - Try something different, that’s never been done before. This doesn’t mean you need to spend more money. It just involves a lot more creativity and brainpower. Doing something unique, for the top few, is a win-win! Your major donors feel really special and appreciated, and you get to cut down on the costs of hosting a gala dinner, which most people just feel obligated to attend.
