KEY POINTS TO NOTE WHEN INTRODUCING AN EVENT(VIRTUALLY) ▪︎Never begin with "my name is", begin with a welcome and if your event has a global reach mentioning your location helps you connect with viewers on a deeper level. ▪︎Don't forget to mention the name of the event and the names of its sponsors or organisers and thank them. ▪︎Smile often. ▪︎Use parlance appropriate words suited to the theme of your program. The way you'd address Lawyers will differ from how you'd address Doctors but in this case Christians. ▪︎Now you can introduce yourself: tell us your name,the theme and purpose of the event. ▪︎Let your viewers know instantly what to expect and what role you'd need them to play beforehand. ▪︎Finally, introduce the speaker and voila! You're done. Plus, you'd have a great opener under your belt.
