We have a new possible application to investigate, reducing duckweed growth. In the pond below, the before photo is on the left, and after two weeks, the after photos are on the right. As you can see, the duckweed is not gone, but it is not as vibrantly growing and the mats that had grown are no longer there.
We are grateful for being given the opportunity to be applied to this water body, to see if we could have an impact. As the weather starts to cool and the duckweed will naturally go away in the winter, come spring, we have a unique applicability situation to test. Can we decrease the nutrients in water enough in the spring and summer to keep duckweed from growing out of control? We know we can with algae, maybe we can with duckweed too. The microbial world in water bodies offer a unique and environmentally friendly solution, and analternative to chemicals.
If there is anyone interested in testing our solution in a little warmer place, like Texas, Louisiana, or Florida, we are interested in talking to potential distribution and service partners in the area, and are always happy to get more data and photos we can share.
