This immediately took me back to my early days in Quality Assurance, grappling with severe imposter syndrome. A Quality Site Director I reported up through the chain to noticed and called me in his office for a conversation that fundamentally changed my perspective. He said, “90% of what holds you back is the negative voice in your head, and the other 10% are the people who feel invited by how you deal with that voice.” That moment was a turning point for me. I realized I was my biggest adversary. The key to my growth was not just silencing the negative voice inside but also understanding how my response to it influenced those around me. I learned to focus on ‘running in my own lane’, treating my career as a race track where the only competitor was myself. Sharing this as I believe many of us face similar challenges. Remember, the biggest hurdles we face are often the ones we place in front of ourselves.
