Verizon wants you to recognize it as a media company with its latest rebrand. Though still succeeding as the largest wireless provider in the U.S., Verizon is fighting to maintain its subscriber growth. Enter their new logo. The distinct change from the classic checkmark to a more Netflix-esque style is an intentional choice. Rebranding as a media company allows Verizon to expand past just wireless infrastructure. What do they want to be known for offering? 🤨 🎮 Video games 📺 Streaming platforms 🏈 Major sports games And more — all to better connect emotionally with their audience. This rebrand isn’t without strategy, though. Verizon is hopeful the change will attract customers to its premium-tier subscriptions, and will continue to maintain its core business as a wireless infrastructure provider.
