Just in: Forecasters at the NOAA NWS Climate Prediction Center predict an above-normal #Atlantic #HurricaneSeason for 2024 -- with an emerging La Nina and above-normal Atlantic Ocean temperatures.

NOAA predicts a likely range of 17-25 named storms, of which 8-13 could become hurricanes, including 4-7 major hurricanes. These are the highest ranges since NOAA started issuing the Outlook. Forecasters provide these ranges with 85% confidence.
