Dear Colleagues,
Ever wonder why you have to wait so long to get a plumber, when you call for one? What about an electrician? What about having to wait weeks and weeks for your mechanic to have the time available to attend to your car? 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 -- those skills that make our lives livable in so many ways. Most often, these are careers for which one does not need a college education. As a result, young adults can get a lucrative, high-paying job in hundreds of trades and not emerge from four years of college education with debt and a degree which is hard to market.
