Communication is vital for any organization, especially in the dynamic environment of public sector undertakings (PSUs) in India. We have all seen the importance of communication and the efficient use by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Effective communication ensures alignment of goals, transparency in operations, and builds trust among stakeholders. Having a dedicated seat for communication on the Board would ensure that strategic decisions are communicated clearly, both internally and externally, enhancing the organization's reputation and fostering better relationships with investors, employees, customers, and the public. More importantly, it is not just the PSUs but the entire cohort across business organizations known as the Brand Bharat would need clear and compelling communication strategy that has to trickle down from the Board level positions. #MissionBharat

#mondaythought: 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖-𝗦𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 & 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 As a communications practitioner, I've witnessed the transformative power of strategic messaging and brand storytelling. It's not merely about words on a page or tweets in the digital ether. It's about shaping perceptions, influencing decisions, and ultimately, driving bottom-line growth. Yet, too often, communications find itself relegated to a support role, a mere afterthought in the C-suite discussions where pivotal decisions are made. A recent article in PRWeek highlights this challenge: the struggle for recognition and the misconception of our true potential and I couldn't agree enough with her. In an era where reputation can be a company's most valuable asset or its Achilles' heel, communications expertise is indispensable. We navigate the complex landscape of public perception, manage crises, and craft narratives that resonate with stakeholders. When communications is truly integrated into the highest levels of strategy, organizations gain a competitive edge. We bring insights into customer sentiment, market trends, and the pulse of society that can guide not just marketing, but overall business strategy. Shouldn't the C-suite benefit from our strategic foresight? Shouldn't our seat at the table be more than symbolic, but rather a recognition of the pivotal role we play in an organization's success? Let's champion for communications to be not just heard, but integral to the highest levels of decision-making. Because when we're there, driving conversations and shaping strategy, businesses thrive. #communication #storytelling #mediarelations #publicrelations #pr #CEOadvisory #brandbuilding #reputationmanagement #pragency
