📣Authentic storytelling provides a strong foundation for building deep and meaningful connections. In this week’s episode of The Delivery Space podcast we spoke to Jamie Mackenzie (FCIM) about the Art of Storytelling. “Stories change lives” and we discussed how they enable this to happen and what tools we can use to do so effectively. In Jamie's book ‘28 Bags of Sprouts, Storytelling with Impact’ he described how being able to tell a story about his proudest moment landed him a job in his early career. He was able to tell a story with such impact that it changed his life forever! ✨ Great stories carry a universal appeal that can transcend culture, they can build that strong emotional connection that can leave an audience feeling inspired and motivated to act. Whether it be in the corporate world or our daily lives having the ability to tell a story with impact matters. In this episode we discuss: 🔸The Sprout Model and the elements it contains to tell a good story 🔸How to build a connection with an audience through story telling whilst maintaining authenticity 🔸Positive opportunities that can arise from being able to articulate a story 🔸Common mistakes with storytelling 🔸How people can continue to refine the skillset About our guest: Jamie’s mission is to help unlock this superpower of storytelling with impact for other people, so that they too can enjoy the impact and the benefits that it will bring. Simply put ... Stories. Change. Lives. Over 20 years ago, a story shared about 28 bags of sprouts was enough to make the difference, to make an impact, and to change his life. This started Jamie on a career path which gave him the most wonderful opportunity to engage with people, enjoy success, feel failure and more importantly ... learn. He has been empowered by great leaders to own strategy at domestic, regional and global level. Created new products and brands at a global level, been a part of a leadership team achieving six times revenue and EBIT growth. Jamie does coaching and mentorship of charity leaders and their boards.
