I used to spend Saturdays trying to figure out my entire life. Not only was it painful to do but it lasted about five seconds. It turns out that one Saturday is really not enough to figure out every single detail about my life, who knew. Maybe it would have been different on a Sunday? I cannot figure out my entire life in one day or probably even a week. This is how I helped it make sense to me. It is the equivalent of going on a road trip, putting the destination in your GPS, setting cruise control and letting go of the wheel. You are going to get off course and maybe even crash. Life is full of twists and turns, changing lanes, on ramps and off ramps and sometimes even changing your destination. So instead of trying to figure out my entire life on a Saturday I am now just focusing on figuring out the next week. What is It that I want to try in the next week to make my life better? What is it that I need to stop doing next week to make my life better?

End of year personal retreat! This is the time for you to wind down, be honest with yourself, feel every fiber of your being, get ready to write, cry if you must, and Laugh out Loud after. What to do during your retreat: 1. Thanksgiving: Thank God sincerely for the year and everything that came with it, breakthroughs, promotions, losses and pains, and the precious gift of life. 2. Appraisal: Do a thorough assessment of how you spent your year, be honest with yourself. health, finances, spirituality, relationships, and family then identify areas you didn't do well and you need to improve when the year begins. 3. Planning: identify your resolutions for the coming year in all different areas: Health, Finances, Spirituality, relationships etc, plan how you are going to achieve them Why you need to have one: The retreat allows distance and reflection to truly reconnect with what is important to you and your life path, to relinquish your burdens, renew your spirit, and reflect. Therefore, your itinerary should reflect that purpose. Please Note: This is what adulting is doing to me, Learning and Living! Happy New Year to you all.

We should learn from the past and use it to make the present and future better. We should not dwell on the past, but we should learn from it so that we can make better decisions in the future. 3. We should be grateful for what we have. There is always someone who has less than we do. We should be grateful for the things that we have, no matter how small they may seem. 4. We should set goals for ourselves and work towards achieving them. We should not be afraid to set big goals for ourselves. We should work hard and never give up on our dreams. 5. We should be optimistic. A positive attitude can help us overcome any obstacle. We should always believe in ourselves and our ability to succeed. 6. We should surround ourselves with positive people.
