I have an old bike. When we were dating, my (now) husband compelled me to purchase it. We spent many Saturdays riding in Central Park, followed by dinner at Sylvia’s in Harlem. He has since tried to convince me to upgrade. He wants me to buy a newer, lighter, sleeker bike to heighten my riding experience (and ease the process of him lifting it onto our bike rack!). But, I love my 1998 red Raliegh C-40. With all of her dings and scratches, her temperamental gears, and her after-market cushy seat. It’s been 26 years, and she’s stood the test of time. She’s been faithful and loyal. Even when I’ve left her unattended and collecting dust, she’s remained true. I’ll not put her out to pasture! I am grateful for this fun monument of faithfulness in my life, and even more grateful for those who have built true and living monuments of faithfulness in my life. I cherish you! #grateful #thegratefullife #lifetothefullest Galatians 5:22-23 3 John 1:5
