Lead Talent Acquisition Partner @ Royal Caribbean Group | Empowering candidates to Job Hunt Like A Recruiter

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: remember to send those final update emails to candidates before the holiday week! It’s the worst feeling in the world heading into the holidays feeling uncertain about your job search. 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: take this opportunity to prep for the new year! While a lot of teams are out the last week of the year, recruiting will resume in full force starting the first week in January and you want to already be prepped for those next rounds of applications. Because there’s not always as much time during the holidays, I love using tools like Teal’s AI Resume Builder to rewrite your existing achievements to better match the jobs you are targeting. It may sound surprising, but almost half the resumes I see aren’t even close to the skills indicated in the job description so making sure your achievements align to the job description is a huge part of why you may not be moving forward in the process. While others may take this week completely off, spending an hour to make sure your resume is up to-date before those new year applications come out could be just the difference in landing your new role. #sponsored #hiring #career

With your resume, you need to be a little relaxed. Improve one section at a time and this holiday, just make sure to spend a little time improving it

I appreciate the updates. I experienced my first rejection this week and while I was disappointed, it helped me build resiliency and also stay organized!

100% agree. I'm teaching a class to FIU/Miami Ad School students next semester, and would love you to serve as a guest lecturer if you can to talk more about this! Fingers crossed you have the bandwidth.

Absolutely! Any feedback is better than no feedback. Even if priorities are now on hold until the new year, just keep the candidate informed going into the holiday break as well as when they can expect an update early in the new year.
