A belated post after a busy H-1B cap season. I truly enjoyed teaching business immigration law at my alma mater, University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, this past semester to 2Ls and 3Ls. A few of the students had gone through the immigration process themselves (or are still in the midst of it) and their experiences helped to bring real life perspectives. Huge thanks to Rachel Baskin , Yuah Jessica Choi Kang, and Matthew Galati for sharing their expertise with my students. I did get to bring a very special guest for one of the classes who was most interested in a hall named after another Nicole. 😊. #immigration #teaching #pennlaw

I’m back at University at Buffalo School of Law as an Adjunct to teach Business Immigration Law during the January Bridge term. This is my 7th year teaching and my biggest group of students yet! The class maxed out at 30 - I’ll have to request a bigger room next year! 🤓 Excited to share an overview of the employment-based immigration system and all its complexities… the alphabet soup of visa categories, lotteries, backlogs, petition processes, costs of sponsoring foreign workers, green card options and more. Once more into the breach, AGAIN! I've started yet another online course for University of Central Missouri, Immigration Law. It's something I thought would also be useful to learn if I go into Paralegal work handling people who wish to enter our country legally.
