Exciting News! Northern Arizona University College of Nursing at the Yuma campus, a Sensis partner, is offering the groundbreaking Compressed Bachelor of Science in Nursing (CBSN) program. This initiative aims to address critical workforce shortages in the community by presenting an accelerated path to a nursing degree in just 16 months, compared to the traditional 30-month duration. This program signifies a significant shift in nursing education, highlighting NAU's commitment to tackling pressing healthcare needs. Additionally, it provides scholarship opportunities and fosters partnerships with key healthcare institutions, further demonstrating their dedication to community well-being. In conjunction with this milestone, it's noteworthy to recognize a positive trend: the increasing number of Latinas pursuing higher education. According to Axios Latino, the share of U.S. Latinas with a four-year college degree has nearly quadrupled over the past two decades. This trend underscores the importance Latinas place on higher education as a pathway to high-wage jobs and financial stability. Let's celebrate this progress and continue supporting initiatives that empower communities through education and opportunity. ¡Arriba Latinas!
