The 1099 market is becoming increasingly interesting. According to MBO Partners, 45% of American workers are engaged in independent contract work—that's 72.1 million Americans. The gap between employees wanting remote work and employers preferring in-office workers hasn’t narrowed much over the last year. As a result, independent contractor opportunities seem to be the best solution for all parties involved. The 1099 market and the gig economy are providing timely solutions for both companies and U.S. workers alike. We'll see where this trend goes as we head into 2025. Qwerkz,Inc

In today's competitive job market, transparency is key. However, disclosing salary figures may not be enough for firms paying closer to the midpoint of market rates. To attract top talent, they must enhance their communication of non-salary benefits. Offering remote work options, attractive perks and incentives, and generous paid time off can significantly bolster a company's appeal. These benefits contribute to a better work-life balance and demonstrate a commitment to employee well-being and satisfaction. In essence, organizations can differentiate themselves and attract top-tier candidates by focusing on comprehensive compensation packages that go beyond salary. What are the pros and cons of location-based pay? With today's workforce more global and remote than ever, companies must get clear on how they want to pay their employees. Should your business adjust salaries based on location? Or should everyone receive the same compensation across the board? Here are three common approaches to location-based pay: • Fully localised pay, where salaries vary by city or country • Location tier system, which reflects global salary differences • Location-agnostic pay, which is uniform pay regardless of location Learn more about the pros and cons of each strategy in our blog post below.
