If you've seen the snow leopard scene in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, you know how hard it was to get a photo of these three, but it was worth it. Our nurses deserve a lot of recognition and this week, at NECS, we are celebrating their dedication. If you're a nurse, thank you for your steadfast care. If you know a nurse, let them know they are appreciated.

#ThankANurse today and check out the link below to learn more about how the American Nurses Foundation and our partners are giving back for National Nurses Week (& every week)!
When I first joined Orr Group, my first client was the American Nurses Foundation. All these months later, we're still working together! I have been so inspired by the nurses I've met and the innovative solutions that are being developed to support the largest percentage of the workforce in the healthcare field. Next week is National Nurses Week - and we've teamed up with some amazing corporate partners that will be giving back to nurses. Check out the link below for details - or, if you've ever been impacted by a nurse (and let's be real, who hasn't been?), I hope you'll consider making a gift to help nurses have the resources and support they need to care for us but also to care for themselves. #ThankANurse

What should nurses know when thinking about joining the team on H81 at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus? According to RN Chelly, the key is H81's culture of education. Starting with orientation and the nurse residency program, nurses learn all of the skills they'll need -- and then they get to practice them all, because "H81 has everything". How important is it to work in a supportive environment where your learning and growth are so highly prioritized? According to Chelly, "it's a big deal". Interested in learning more about RN positions on H81? Let's talk.

On this day Notre Dame Uni wants to recognise and celebrate the dedication and compassion of all nurses. We thank our staff, alumni and students who continue to serve their communities and support the future of healthcare. This year’s theme continues ‘Our Nurses. Our Future.’ with a particular focus on the economic power of care. The 2024 report from the International Council of Nurses provides an in-depth analysis of how elevating the nursing profession can transform healthcare and also boost economic growth. Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) 2024 ASPIRE Conference key take aways bridging my two personal missions: - 1 million nurses expected to retire by 2029 - By 2031 projected to have 195,400 novice nurses in practice - The US must increase nurse workforce by 80% ⭐️Must be proactive in welcoming and onboarding the novice nurse! -In safety sciences- education is the weakest intervention and often not the contributing cause, yet it is the most frequent ask - Creates an illusion of doing something - Educators as influencers in the identification of real practice gaps, systems or process issues ⭐️Building relationships, mentoring and supporting the front lines to mitigate risk.

5-10 seconds to answer a call light 💡 That's what an inspector recently commented during a visit to the emergency department. The nurses scoffed, and the techs snickered. "Maybe she meant the code blue button," one muttered under his breath. This is why clinically-active experts are needed. Experts provide insight into the standards of care, and they understand real-world application of those standards. So yes, in a perfect world, it would be nice to be able to answer each call light in 5-10 seconds. In practice, though, it's an unrealistic expectation. #expert #lnc #nurse #ernurse #emergencynurse #emergencydepartment

Chief Executive Officer @ IPCWell | National speaker, Reducing the Burden of Healthcare and Infectious Diseases Globally.
Reflecting on the incredible joys brought by nurses…the silent architects of comfort and care. Witnessing their compassion, the genuine connections formed with patients and residents, and the unwavering dedication to making a difference is truly heartwarming. We found this great article titled “Life Changing Moments in Nursing,” where nurses reflect on the beautiful moments they’ve experienced while being a nurse. It’s a quick read sure to brighten your day: https://lnkd.in/eFEKRDS9
