This is the smile of one happy man 😊 Today, at NPMS, we talked about how to go DEEPER than donations and build a community that lasts! 1. Engage donors passions 🤩 Are you focused on what YOU want or what your PEOPLE want? Sometimes we miss opportunities for magic because we are so set on how things were, instead of how things could be. Listen to your people and use what they already like, so they can support an organization that they love (yours!) 2. Treat donors as partners 🤝 I say this all the time - people are your PARTNERS, not your PIGGYBANKS 🏦- treat them accordingly! 3. Provide multiple pathways 🚀 Maybe a donor wants to join your board, maybe they want to be a fundraiser, maybe they want to start an event on your behalf. The what is not as important as the WHY. Dont be a roadblock, be a bridge and let people get involved in a way that excites and sustains THEM. Remember friction is NOT your friend when fundraising - so make it easy for people to support you! What was your takeaway from today’s session?
